A proud Amherst resident for more than 20 years, Mary Dormer has built her life, raised her five children, and served her community with dedication. As both a university administrator and adjunct professor, she brings professional experience, leadership skills, and a collaborative mindset to every challenge.
For nearly a decade, Mary has been a proud administrator at Daemen University, where she has loved serving the students, faculty, and staff. She has been involved in many initiatives that support Daemen’s academic growth and has played a key role in helping to make the student experience exceptional.
In addition to her administrative work, Mary also serves as an adjunct professor in Daemen’s Leadership & Innovation MS program, where she prepares her students for future success as leaders in their organizations and communities.
Mary’s experience reflects her deep commitment to Amherst and her belief in service, integrity, and collaboration — values she is ready to bring with her to the Amherst Town Board.
Mary will fight to bring open communication and honest governance back to the Amherst Town Board.
